Epocha means ‘a new or distinctive era’ or ‘a measure of time’ and has the same meaning in most European languages.

Epocha is set in Montefiore House, a stunning Victorian terrace on the edge of Melbourne’s CBD. The menu offers dishes to share, with humble origins of Europe; tasty and wholesome food, cooked with love, to nourish your soul. We look forward to welcoming you to our home.

FUNCTIONS

Epocha Restaurant and Bar is a versatile venue that can cater for both seated events and cocktail functions for up to 110 guests.

We have several spaces to suit groups large and small, and our close proximity to the Carlton Gardens makes us an ideal choice for wedding receptions.

HANNAH’S BAR

Hannah Maybelle was the original resident owner of Montefiore House back in the early 1880’s and the bar and adjoining Maybelle Room have been named in her honour.

The bar is visually stunning featuring murals and artwork by local artists Merryn Trevethan and Jamie Boys.

Come in for after-work cocktails, for pre-theatre Champagne and snacks, or maybe for some wine and cheese on our balcony overlooking the gardens.
